Kojeza ("we", "us", or "our") operates a web-based marketplace that connects hikers with guided tours and hiking societies (Planinarska društva) in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Information We Collect

Account Data

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, phone number (optional), profile avatar, and role selection (hiker, guide, or PD admin). If you register as a guide, we may also collect your bio and certifications. If you register as a PD admin, we collect your organization details.

Usage Data

We automatically collect information about how you interact with our platform, including pages visited, features used, event registrations, and general browsing activity. This data helps us improve the user experience.

Location Data

With your consent, we may collect your approximate location to display relevant weather forecasts and nearby hiking events. You can disable location access at any time through your browser settings.

Payment Data

If you are a guide or PD admin, we collect bank account details (account holder name, account number, and bank name) to facilitate tour payments via bank transfer. We do not process credit card payments directly.

How We Use Your Information

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the following service providers necessary to operate Kojeza:

  • Firebase (Google) — Authentication and user management
  • Cloudflare R2 — Image and file storage
  • Neon — PostgreSQL database hosting
  • Vercel — Web application hosting and deployment
  • Google Maps — Location services and mapping
  • Railway — Backend API hosting

When you register for an event, your name, email, and phone number are shared with the event organizer to manage participation.

Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or legitimate business purposes. Event participation records may be retained in anonymized form for analytics.

In accordance with applicable data protection laws, you have the following rights:

Kojeza uses essential cookies to maintain your session and authentication state. We use Firebase Authentication which sets cookies necessary for sign-in functionality. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

Kojeza is not intended for children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete the information.
